to benefit the SPCA of Putnam County

APRIL 9 & 10, 2022

ANIMAL MAGNETISM is a thematic show open to all! There’s no age limit, you don’t need to be a member of the Putnam Arts Council, you don’t need to have art experience, and you don’t even need to live in Putnam County. The show is open to everyone everywhere! All funds raised through show registration fees will go directly to benefit the Putnam County SPCA!

Each entrant may enter up to 4 pieces, no larger than 36″x36″ in any direction; we will accept both framed and unframed artwork. If your artwork is framed, it must be wired and ready to hang and cannot exceed 36 x 36″ including the frame.

Entries can be in any medium you choose! So grab your paints, cameras, prints, pencils, mixed media and collage materials and/or sculpting tools and start creating! If your work is in 3D, it should be manageable by one person.

Entry fees are as follows: $15 for 3 plays and $20 for 4 plays. Registration fees for children under 12 will be waived.

Images of all animals are welcome – pets, pets, farm animals, wild animals and animals of your imagination are all accepted and welcome! animals of your imagination.

ANIMAL MAGNETISM will open on Saturday, April 9 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the A. Eric Arctander Gallery of the Putnam Arts Council. Chief Ross and Detective Sergeant Ross of the Putnam County SPCA will attend the opening to speak about the Putnam County SPCA and answer questions. The show will also be open on Sunday April 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There is no entry to visit the gallery, it’s free.

And…there will be a $100 Animal Magnetism Friend Prize!

The deadlines for submitting your artwork are Saturday, April 2 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Putnam Arts Council, 521 Kennicut Hill Road, Mahopac, 10541.

Please ensure that all necessary information…title, your name, price or NFS if your work is not for sale is on the back of each piece (use a label or sticky note). A submission form will be provided to you when you submit your work.
